A man looks intently at the camera and, between long silences, pronounces short and barely understandable phrases. What appears to be the statement of a witness, is in fact the lip-reading interpretation of a movie in real time. Though the way he speaks and the atmosphere and cadence of the video evoke some tension, the movie that the interpreter is watching is actually an 80's romantic comedy. The title, "Should auld acquaintance be forgot", is taken from the melancholic song that is played in the final scene of the film.
This is a five-minute excerpt of the one-and-a-half-hour video.
